TIM to file Consob complaint following single network reports

Friday 7 May 2021 | 09:36 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) said it intends to file a complaint with market regulator Consob following reports that the government led by Mario Draghi has decided to abandon a plan backed by the previous government to create a single nationwide fibre-optic network called AccessCo. TIM described the interpretations in the press as "entirely inappropriate and unsubstantiated," adding that the relationship between Italy's recovery plan and possible aggregations between companies operating in the broadband network industry is "not understood".
