TIM, Vodafone Italia offer rivals tower access to meet EU competition concerns - report

Telecom Italia (TIM) and Vodafone Italia have offered to give their rivals a degree of access to their infrastructure to mitigate EU antitrust concerns regarding their proposed towers merger, according to a document seen by Reuters. Last summer, TIM and Vodafone announced that they had agreed to merge their Italian mobile infrastructure under the Inwit unit that is 60 percent-owned by Telecom Italia as well as jointly rolling out 5G networks. Under the proposal, Inwit would make available around 630 sites each year in towns with more than 35,000 people over a period of 8 years, said the EU
