TiVo wins initial ruling in patent case against Comcast

Wednesday 31 May 2017 | 08:58 CET | News
TiVo has won an initial, positive ruling from the US International Trade Commission in its patent infringement case against Comcast and other companies. The administrative law judge found that two of TiVo's patents had been violated. The other four patents asserted by the company in the case were found to have no violation at this point. A final ruling in the case is expected in September. The suit was first brought in April 2016 by Rovi, prior to its merger with TiVo.
