Trade union threatens strike at MTN Nigeria over treatment of workers

A trade union has given MTN two weeks to correct certain alleged anti-labour practices or face industrial action, reports The Sun. Workers under the aegis of the Private Telecommunications and Communications Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PTECSSAN), an affiliate of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), have accused MTN of discrimination against Nigerians, among other things, and flagrant disregard of workers rights' as enshrined in the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions.
