Trinidad's TATT looking for buyer for 49% TSTT stake

The Trinidad and Tobago telecoms authority (TATT) is hoping to receive bids for a 49 percent stake in state-run operator TSTT by the end of the year, reports the Trinidad Guardian, citing the regulator's CEO Chris Seecheran. The sale of the stake was one of the conditions imposed on Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) when the TATT approved its USD 1.85 billion acquisition of Columbus International. Seecheran confirmed that all CWC directors had resigned from TSTT's board and that financial advisors were drawing up a plan to attract bidders.
