Trump administration working on consumer data privacy policy - report

The administration of US President Donald Trump is working on new consumer data privacy policies and Commerce Department officials have held a series of meetings with more than 80 companies and groups over the past month, reports Reuters, citing US officials. A person briefed on the matter confirmed that the more than 20 meetings held have included major internet companies like Facebook and Google parent Alphabet, as well as operators like AT&T and Comcast and trade associations. The administration's aim is to publish "high-level principles" and seek public comment as it looks to develop a
