Trump meets chipmaker CEOs to discuss Huawei sales licences

Tuesday 23 July 2019 | 09:29 CET | News
US President Trump met the chief executives of Qualcomm, Intel, Google, Cisco, Micron, Broadcom and WD to discuss his administration's China policies. The White House said the CEOs "expressed strong support of the president's policies, including national security restrictions on United States telecom equipment purchases and sales to Huawei", the Wall Street Journal reports. They also requested "timely licensing decisions" from the Department of Commerce, which has placed Huawei on a restricted sales list, and the president agreed to deliver.
