Tuenti Mexico officially launches operations

Tuenti, the social network and virtual operator controlled by Spanish telecoms company Telefonica, has launched its mobile service in Mexico. The virtual operator's commercial offering will be mainly focused on the data segment and will target young people. Tuenti aims to reach 1 million users by the end of 2016. According to Tuenti Mexico marketing director Alejandro Santiago, the MVNO expects to reach 100,000 subscribers by the end of this year and nearly 600,000 by end-2015.
