Turk Telekom may be sold to China's Tatwah Smartech - report

China's Tatwah Smartech is among the firms that are in talks to buy a special purpose vehicle that was formed to own a majority stake in indebted Turk Telekom, reports Bloomberg. Tatwah is among the parties negotiating to buy the 55 percent stake in Turk Telekom after creditor banks acquired the shares from its owner Saudi Oger due to unpaid debts. The talks are continuing but no final sale agreement was reached, the news agency's sources said.
