Turk Telekom's Avatar service attracts many

Turk Telekom recently launched a service called Avatar that enables the subscribers of Turk Telekom's newly launched youth brand, Selfy, to customise the carrier name on their mobile phone display with the new service Avatar. Subscribers can write their names or their best quotes up to 15 characters instead of the carrier name. The Avatar service, fully developed at Turk Telekom's R&D Center in Istanbul, has been drawing great attention in Turkey since its launch. More than 500,000 Avatar change requests were received in a month.
