Turkey investigates Google over anti-trust rules

Wednesday 8 March 2017 | 16:27 CET | News
Turkey has become the latest country to investigate Google for a possible breaking of anti-trust rules by its Android software, according to a report in The New York Times. The search giant has recently faced three competition charges in Europe and was found to breach anti-trust rules in Russia. The local telecommunications authority said on 6 March it would look at whether Google's use of Android to promote its other digital services infringed on the country's competition rules. The case is similar to the one in Russia which was also opened by Yandex.
