TV Azteca Q3 revenue down 14% on World Cup effect

Monday 28 October 2019 | 11:23 CET | News
Mexican broadcaster and content producer TV Azteca reported a 14 percent fall in revenue to MXN 2.91 billion in the third quarter, attributed to the extraordinary revenues posted in the year-earlier quarter due to the World Cup, as well as lower government demand for advertising spaces in the media market. As a result, TV Azteca's EBITDA fell 53 percent year on year to MXN 464 million and net profit plunged 56 percent to MXN 194 million, down from MXN 438 million in Q3 2018.
