TV4 CEO expects EU to approve sale of Bonnier Broadcasting to Telia

TV4 CEO Casten Almqvist expects that the EU will approve the sale of Bonnier Broadcasting to Telia, he said in an interview with Swedish radio Ekot in an interview on 15 June, according to Medievarlden. The EU opened an in-depth probe into the proposed deal in May. Almqvist said the takeover would have no detrimental effects on viewers, but rather would create a Swedish competitor to larger players.
