Twitter shared user data without permission for 15 months

Twitter announced that it shared certain user data with third parties without permission for 15 months following a change to its services in May 2018. Data concerning ads for mobile apps, such as country code and details about the user's engagement, may have been shared with Twitter's measurement and advertising clients, the company said.
