Two out of 3 German web users have social network account

Two out of three German internet users belong to social networks, according to a survey by Bitkom among 1,023 users aged 14 or over. In the age group 14 to 49 years, this rises to 79 percent. Among people aged 50 to 64, 52 percent are members of social networks and among those aged 65 or older, the rate falls to 38 percent.
