Two thirds of German high-speed railway stations provide 5G connections

Sixty-six percent of railway stations on ICE high-speed and fast train lines are supplied with 5G, according to a study carried out by online consumer portal Verivox. Gigabit service is available via the Deutsche Telekom network at stations in Berlin, Darmstadt, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and Leipzig, and two in Cologne. However, at 40 percent of the stations examined, the maximum speeds available were only between 150 Mbps and 375 Mbps.
