Digital audio use is more prevalent than expected, with 63.7 percent of Germans between the ages of 14 and 59 using web radios, radio apps or music streaming, according to the "Age of Ears" study by the Facit Media Efficiency market research institute. Only 36.3 percent listen exclusively to FM radio and traditional recordings. The study shows that 76 percent of the 8,200 persons asked still listen to analogue radio over FM, and 65 percent listen to CDs and tapes.
