Two thirds of UK large firms hit by cyber attacks - research

Two thirds of large businesses in the UK have experienced a cyber breach or attack in the past year, according to research released by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. The research shows that in some cases the cost of cyber breaches and attacks to business reached millions of pounds. The research shows that the most common attacks detected involved viruses, spyware or malware which could have been prevented using the Government's Cyber Essentials scheme. The UK Government plans to publish a new national cyber security strategy later in 2016 outlining its plans to improve cyber
