U-blox buys Thingstream for CHF 10 mln

U‑blox said it has acquired Thingstream, an IoT Communication‑as‑a-Service provider, for CHF 10 million. With the acquisition, U‑blox enters the IoT segment to provide customers with a product to connect sensor data to their cloud enterprise. Its investment strategy is based on integrating small high‑tech companies into the main business. A team of 26 staff members at Thingstream will join U‑blox's R&D, sales and marketing teams.
