U-Blox starts IoT Security-as-a-Service over LTE-M cellular modules

Tuesday 6 October 2020 | 10:16 CET | News
U-Blox is offering IoT Security-as-a-Service with its SARA-R4 and SARA-R5 series of LTE-M cellular IoT modules, managed via the u‑blox Thingstream service delivery platform. It is optimised for low power wide area (LPWA) deployments that use IoT devices with limited resources, reducing data overhead and the number of handshakes. The symmetric key management system (KMS) generates a high number of crypto keys for each device. The service protects data from malicious third parties on the device and during transmission from the device to the cloud.
