U Mobile, Waze to offer GPS connectivity for drivers in Smart Tunnel

Malaysian operator U Mobile has partnered with Waze and Smart Tunnel to provide GPS connectivity for drivers commuting through the tunnel. The partners have deployed Bluetooth-enabled hardware devices known as Waze Beacons in the area. The devices are designed to enable connectivity and undisrupted navigation even in areas where there is limited GPS signal reception through the emission of wireless signals that guide navigation apps.
