Uber rival Lyft acquires Blue Vision Labs to push self-driving technology

US taxi hailing service Lyft has acquired London-based technology company Blue Vision Labs as it looks to develop technology for self-driving cars. Blue Vision Labs has developed augmented reality technology which can map street layouts using car-mounted smartphones. It will become Lyft's first office in London and part of its Level 5 division to build technology for self-driving vehicles.
