Ugandan court upholds MTN licence fees of UGX 51 billion

The Ugandan high court in Kampala has upheld a decision by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) demanding UGX  51 billion as licence fees from MTN Uganda, The Observer reported. In July 2020, the UCC wrote to MTN asking the company to pay a licence fee for the period from 21 October 2018, when its previous licence expired, to 30 June 2020.
