Ugandan market regulator orders telecom firms to list within 12 months

Uganda's Capital Markets Authority (CMA) says every telecommunication operator is expected to list its shares within the next twelve months, The Monitor reported. CMA chairwoman Jacqueline Kobusingye said there is no turning back now after years of engagement. Since listing had been made mandatory as a condition for the renewal of operating licences, telecom providers are expected to list in the next four to twelve months.
