Ugandan police ban 11 July protest against social media and mobile money tax

The Ugandan police say they will not allow a demonstration against the tax on social media and mobile money transactions on 11 July, reports Xinhua.  Emilian Kayima, police spokesperson, said that the organisers had not sought police permission, as required by law. He said no one has bothered to write to the police as the public order and management act demands.
