Ugandan telecom revenues exceed UGX 1 trln in Q1

The Ugandan telecom sector had its highest quarterly revenue on record in the three months to March at over UGX 1 trillion, according to the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC). The revenue lines include retail and input/wholesale revenues such as tower lease sales, international bandwidth, mobile financial services, voice and data services. Growth was 12 percent between the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.
