UK digital video market grows 55% in 2014 - study

The UK video market is in good shape, driven by growing demand for digital service services, a strong box office and resilient video retail sales, according to the latest report from Futuresource Consulting. The total digital video market grew by 55 percent in 2014 to reach over GBP 600 million. The SVoD market more than doubled in 2014 to account for over half of total digital video at GBP 350 million. Transactional digital video registered growth of almost 30 percent in 2014. The total digital video market is forecast to grow by 40 percent in 2015 to reach GBP 870 million. The UK SVoD
