UK government selects Director General for Digital and Media

Matthew Gould has been selected for the new government role of Director General for Digital and Media. Based in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the position has been created to support the country's digital ambitions. Gould, who was previously the British ambassador to Israel, will take a prominent role in tacking a number of challenges, including digital exclusion and the need for world-class connectivity.
