UK govt backs driverless car tests on public roads for 2019

A consortium of British companies won a grant of GBP 8.6 million from the UK government to test driverless cars on public highways in 2019. Driven consortium member Nominet said the project will focus on real-time assessment of data essential for the legal and safe use of automated vehicles.
