UK govt launches GBP 25 mln competition to support 5G test beds

The UK government, via the department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, is inviting companies, universities and other organisations to bid for public funds aimed at supporting 5G test beds and trials. Overall, GBP 25 million will be made available for projects focusing on the 5G ecosystem, as part of the GBP 1 billion budget earmarked to support the country's telecom infrastructure in last year's autumn statement.
