UK mobile networks make progress to speed up 4G delivery

UK communications regulator Ofcom has announced further progress in the speed-up of delivering 4G to consumers using the 800 MHz band vacated by the Digital Switchover. Following recent constructive work with Ofcom and DCMS Ministers, mobile network operators O2 UK, 3 UK, Vodafone UK and Everything Everywhere have formed a a jointly controlled company called Digital Mobile Spectrum, originally called MitCo, and appointed Andrew Pinder as interim chairman. This will be responsible for ensuring that consumers continue to receive clear Freeview TV signals following the roll out of 4G mobile
