UK rural areas getting less gigabit connections than cities - study

Only one-fifth (21%) of premises in UK county areas have access to gigabit broadband speeds, against 77 percent for London, according to a study from the County All-Party Parliamentary Group called Levelling Up Digital Connectivity in Counties, based on data from Ofcom. Large towns and cities in the North and West Midlands have 51 percent coverage on average.
