UK scientists build 'unhackable' fibre network

BT and research partners have built the UK's first practical quantum-secured, high-speed fibre network, which protects encryption protocols against attacks using ultra-powerful quantum computers. The network has been built over the last two years by researchers from BT, the University of Cambridge and University of York and runs between Cambridge and the BT Labs in Adastral Park, Ipswich.
