Ultra high-end phone market grows, takes quarter of Dutch smartphones in use

A quarter of smartphones in use in the Netherlands come from the ultra high-end segment, costing EUR 800 or more, according to research by Telecompaper. Apple is the clear leader, with a 72 percent share of the segment, but competition is increasing as features such as 5G and foldable screens push up prices of more phones. In the low end of the market, Alcatel is gaining share after the withdrawal of brands such as Wiko and Acer.
