Unigroup appoints Li as co-president, Zeng succeeds Li as CEO of Spreadtrum

Tsinghua Unigroup (Unigroup) appointed Leo Li to the position of co-president of Unigroup. Li will work directly with Unigroup chairman Weiguo Zhao on business expansion as well as plan and implement key investment projects in the chip design area. Xuezhong Zeng will succeed Li as CEO of Spreadtrum Communications, while Li will continue in his role as chairman of Spreadtrum. Spreadtrum is a fabless semiconductor provider in China which was acquired by Unigroup in 2013.
