Unitymedia against open access model for cable network - CEO

Friday 8 June 2018 | 15:36 CET | News
The CEO of Unitymedia Lutz Schueler has spoken out against opening up the company's cable network to competitors as a consequences of Vodafone's takeover of Liberty Global's Unitymedia assets in Germany, reported Golem.de. Schueler said the company believes in "infrastructure competition" during a broadband summit in Frankfurt, and said that was the reason Unitymedia rejected open access models for its network. Unitymedia invests 25 percent of its revenue into its network, said Schueler.
