Unitymedia launches gigabit broadband service in Cologne

German cable operator Unitymedia confirmed the launch of gigabit broadband services in Cologne, the fourth city after Bochum, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf to receive the upgrade to Docsis 3.1. Around 460,000 households in Cologne are able to access the faster broadband service.
