Unitymedia records solid Q3 performance, sales up 5%

Liberty Global subsidiary Unitymedia saw revenue and EBITDA rise in the third quarter on the back of strong subscriber growth. The German operator's revenue for Q3 2016 hit EUR 567.5 million, a 4.8 percent increase on the same period last year. The company recorded a net loss of EUR 31 million in the latest quarter, as compared to net earnings of ER 19 million in Q3 2015. However, adjusted segment EBITDA showed a strong improvement over the year, up 7.2 percent from EUR 366.1 million in Q3 2015 to EUR 341.6 million in Q3 2016.
