Universal agrees shorter cinema release with Cinemark chain

Comcast's film studio Universal has reached another deal with a cinema chain to accelerate the release of new movies on VoD platforms. Under the deal with the Cinemark chain, any film that does not gross at least USD 50 million in its first three weekends in theatres can proceed to the premium VOD window.
