University of Surrey works with three UK National 5G Test Beds

The University of Surrey 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) confirmed that it will be working closely with three of the six national 5G test beds announced by the UK Government. All three test beds will connect to the 5GIC testbed for end-to-end 5G trials. 

These are the Worcestershire 5G Partnership (QinetiQ, Worcester Bosch, Yamazaki Mazak), which will focus on industry 4.0 for IoT, factory automation and AR for off-site engineers; the 5G Rural First partnership (BBC, Cisco, Strathclyde University, SFT, Agri-Epi); and the Autoair consortium (Airspan, McLaren, ARM, Quortus, RealWireless, BlueWireless), which small cell 5G radio and connected vehicles.
