UPC buys VoIP provider e-fon

Swiss operator UPC announced it is taking over Zurich-based e-fon, a provider of IP telephony for business customers in Switzerland. The companies already cooperate since 2013 and now e-fon will become part of UPC Business. Customers and partners of both companies will benefit from a bundling of know-how, particularly with regard to the planned Switzerland-wide switch from ISDN/analogue to IP telephony, UPC said. All founders will leave e-fon as a result of the transaction. The e-fon brand will initially be kept and operations will be co-branded. No financial details of the takeover were
