UPC name will disappear against stronger Ziggo brand -report

Dutch cable operator Ziggo has opened a separate website with information on its proposed integration with UPC. Regarding the future name and branding, other sources said that the name and blue colour of UPC will disappear, as Ziggo is the stronger brand. The change will have implications for certain company activities, such as the sponsorship of the Dutch film sector. Ziggo mainly sponsors music. On its site, Ziggo stressed that nothing will change until the acquisition of Ziggo by Liberty Global completes. The process is expected to take a few weeks after 4 November. Until that moment,
