Upper Austria starts implementing public fibre broadband infrastructure

Upper Austria is following the example of Lower Austria in the construction of public broadband network infrastructure. Like noGiG in Lower Austria, the implementing entity in Upper Austria is Fibre Service OO. Upper Austria will also follow the three-tier model applied in Lower Austria: physical infrastructure built on behalf of the state; operation of the network by a neutral network operator; and different service providers offering their services.
