US ambassador confirms opposition to ASML shipments to China

The US government has confirmed its opposition to Dutch company ASML shipping its chipmaking machines to Chinese customers. US Ambassador to the Netherlands Pete Hoekstra told the Financieele Dagblad newspaper that "ASML technology does not belong in certain places".
