US antitrust investigators probing Google internet protocol plans

Congressional antitrust investigators are probing plans by Google to use a new internet protocol due to concerns that it could give the company a competitive advantage, reports the Wall Street Journal. In a letter dated 13 September, investigators for the House Judiciary Committee asked Google for information about its "decision regarding whether to adopt or promote the adoption" of the Domain Name System over Transport Layer Security (DNS over TLS).
