US consumer regulator investigates digital payment systems

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in the US announced it's looking into digital payment services run by the large tech companies. The CFPB asked Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, PayPal and Square to provide more information on their business practices, so the bureau can ensure adequate consumer protection. The CFPB said it's also looking at the Chinese services Alipay and WeChat Pay.
