US consumer technology sales to continue growing in Q1, by 12% - NPD Group

The US consumer technology industry sales will continue to grow in the first quarter of this year, continuing the momentum recorded in 2020 when sales were up 17 percent through 26 December, according to a forecast from The NPD Group. In Q1, the researchers expect 12 percent consumer technology sales growth versus the year before. But even with a strong start to the year, comparisons to the monumental growth seen in the latter part of 2020 will result in a 2 percent decline year-over-year over 2021 as a whole, as sales reach nearly USD 110 billion.
