US court denies request to rehear net neutrality challenge

A US federal court has denied a request from telecommunications operators including AT&T, Comcast and Verizon to rehear arguments challenging the Federal Communications Commission's net neutrality rules, reports Reuters. The court pointed to the actions of the FCC's new chairman Ajit Pai, who last week confirmed plans to undo his predecessor's Open Internet order that reclassified internet providers like public utilities. Judge Sri Srinivasan said in a written opinion that reviewing the Open Internet Order "would be particularly unwarranted at this point in light of the uncertainty
