US court rejects Qualcomm request to stay competition remedies

Qualcomm has lost a an appeal to suspend the court-ordered remedies in its licensing deals with handset makers. The company, which in May lost an antitrust case and was found to be a monopoly in wireless chips, had asked US District Court Judge Lucy Koh to grant a reprieve in carrying out remedies she ordered while the case goes through the appeals process. The judge rejected the request, Cnet reports.
