US Dept of Defense names more 5G testing sites

The US Department of Defense has named seven more sites where it will be testing 5G systems and services. These include the Naval Base Norfolk in Virginia; Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii; Joint Base San Antonio in Texas; the National Training Center (NTC) at Fort Irwin in California; Fort Hood in Texas; Camp Pendleton in California; and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. The move comes under the DoF's 5G development roadmap, which says the technology is vital to maintaining the US's military and economic advantages.
